The best way to introduce my company to you is by sharing my personal experience with you. My experience started with the desire to renovate a family property that, from childhood to becoming an adult, deteriorated into a shell. Together with my mother, we finally got a loan to repair the property that blighted the community. Grateful to get a loan, the terms were inconsequential at the time. We promptly got started to realize that we were still short the money necessary to fix the property. The obstacles popped up, but as usual, were meant to be overcome. So in the greatest of traditions, I rolled up my sleeves determined to get the job done.

Six months later, I finally got approved plans, a better understanding of the cost and the length of time and mortgage payments necessary to complete this project. It was apparent that we were bamboozled, we paid too much, got too little and the payments started a few months into the loan for a vacant building. I desperately sought remaining $100,000 dollars to complete the project, I called every imaginable company and government agency to refinance, renegotiate or extend any financing all to realize that nothing was available. In desperation, we tapped retirement accounts, cashed out other properties, rung up credit cards and called in favors from every friend to see this project to completion. After two long years and just days before Thanksgiving, it was finally done. We celebrated with a feast in the newly completed kitchen.

An opportunity presented itself in the mortgage finance and I thought that maybe, I could parlay some of my experiences as a consumer into success. After all, I had a niche; I had the worst experience ever. Surely someone could benefit from my lemons into lemonade story, and I was happy to share my challenges to help navigate people to their own success.

In my new career, I learned the power of leverage and through a few lessons and mentoring; I started as mortgage loan officer. When you love what you do, you learn quickly and the prospects of making a lot of money helped. Success was simple. I would never allow a customer to knowingly take a loan they could not afford or terms they could not handle. Those who were not qualified, I helped them get their financial affairs in order, so they would be successful too. I implemented the preplanning that was commonly lacking to create success. I worked hard researching and structuring the best options to present to my clients.

I had a thirst to learn more and quickly outgrew my surroundings. I reflected upon my life to come to the central theme, that I enjoy helping people. So if I was going to live on my own terms, I needed to start The National Mortgage Store. Founded on the belief that I could invest the time, offer the incentives to help people achieve homeownership.
